DOG PARK ACTION ALERT!
Calling all dog park supporters! NOW is your time to act!
There’s a new strategic plan in the works for our Jackson/Teton Parks and Recreation Department. They’re using a firm called GreenPlay, LLC to collect input and data, and produce recommendations based on what they hear from our community.
During a July Joint Information Meeting with Jackson Town Council and Teton County Commissioners, GreenPlay indicated that DOG PARKS are on the list of priority facilities needed in our community.
As a dog enthusiast and dog park supporter, we need your help!
Contact your elected officials between now and September 1 and let them know that you support finding a permanent location for a town dog park, and that you feel dog parks are a vital component of the Teton County Parks and Recreation department.
Ask them to prioritize dog parks in the upcoming Parks and Recreation Strategic Plan.

Stay tuned for an upcoming Joint Information Meeting in September when you can attend and provide vocal support of finding a permanent location for a dog park in Jackson during the public comment portion of the meeting.
Sign up to receive DOG PARK ACTION ALERT EMAILS from PAWS! Just send us an email to firstname.lastname@example.org and put dog park alerts in your subject line.
Thank you for supporting PAWS of Jackson Hole and a dog-friendly community!
There is a winter dog park that welcomes all well-behaved dogs and their people from December through March. PAWS and the Parks & Recreation Department make sure that there is a fenced area with mutt mitt stations and waste receptacles so you and your dog can have a safe, clean space to socialize in the wintertime.
Discussions of a future year-round dog park continue. Give us a call at (307) 734-2442 if you’d like to be involved!
